Artist's Comments

English name : Scorpion Fly
Scientific name : Panorpa communis
Family : Panorpidae.

This strange-looking insect is called scorpion fly, because of its tail resembling that of a scorpion. It has a *beak* which she/he uses to tear smaller insects or to ripe fruits.
